Kim Delaney has won Emmy Awards for her performance as Detective Diane Russell. She has also starred in dramas such as All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives and CSI: Miami. Delaney, the only daughter of a United Auto Workers senior executive as well as a domestic worker was raised by four brothers and sisters. In childhood, Delaney dreamed of being an official reporter for the court. Her modeling career began in high school and then gaining commercial opportunities when she relocated into New York. In her teens, her first role as an actress came in the soap opera of 1980 All My Children. Delaney, a young actress in the 80s, has been featured in a variety of TV films and dramas. She has not had a good or satisfying personal life. The accomplished actor has had to battle alcoholism, and has had two marriages that failed. In 2005, she lost custody of her son.
